He left school, found an apprenticeship, and completed his Cert IV in Carpentry in 2011. From there, things moved fast.
From framing townhouses for Burbank to custom residential builds — over a decade of growth across Melbourne and beyond.
His first big break was with Burbank, constructing frames for all their townhouses across Melbourne. In the early days, Lucas ran three teams of five carpenters, managing large-scale residential builds across the city.
He took a contract in Darwin, building homes in a fisherman's village. The work was demanding, the conditions were tough, but it sharpened every skill he had.
Eventually, Lucas made a deliberate choice. He downsized to focus on the building he genuinely enjoyed: custom residential work where quality comes first. No production-line shortcuts. Every project gets the attention it deserves.
Along the way, he partnered on cladding, lock-up, framing (timber and steel), doors, hand-pitched roofing, insurance work, real estate work, extensions, and renovations. He spent time with a flooring company and a demolition company, rounding out his understanding of every layer of a home.
Today, Lucas has a particular passion for hardwood timber, especially Ironbark. He is a certified WoodEvo decking installer and brings over 15 years of hands-on experience to every project, from shop fit-outs and pergolas to garage door widening and structural repairs.
